Choosing a Patient Safety Organization (PSO)

For a provider to obtain the confidentiality and privileged protection of the Patient Safety Act, the provider must voluntarily work with a Federally-listed PSO. AHRQ offers the PSO selection Tool on the AHRQ website which allows providers to search for a PSO by category types such as, but not limited to, the region the PSO serves, the PSO specialty, the number of providers the PSO serves, and whether the PSO reports to the PSOPPC.
